Who Is Jesus?

Jesus is not merely a good teacher, a moral example, or a religious figure from history. He is the Christ, the Son of the living God, the Savior of the world, and the risen Lord.

Jesus Is More Than a Man

Jesus was born of Mary and walked among us as a real man in history, yet Scripture reveals that He is far more than a prophet or philosopher. He is the eternal Word made flesh.

He is fully God and fully man. He entered our world, lived without sin, revealed the Father, and did what no one else could do: He gave Himself for our sins and rose again in victory.

John 1:1, 14 — “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.”

Colossians 1:15-17 — “For by him were all things created...”

What the Bible Reveals About Jesus

He Is the Son of God

Jesus has a unique relationship with the Father and perfectly reveals Him to us.

He Is the Messiah

He is the promised Christ foretold in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New.

He Is Savior

Jesus came to save sinners, not by good advice alone, but by His death and resurrection.

He Is Lord

He is risen, reigning, and worthy of faith, worship, obedience, and trust.

Why Did Jesus Come?

Jesus came because humanity is separated from God by sin. We could not save ourselves, fix our hearts, or erase our guilt. So God sent His Son.

Jesus lived the sinless life we failed to live, died the death our sins deserved, and rose from the dead so that all who repent and believe in Him may be forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life.

Luke 19:10 — “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

1 Timothy 1:15 — “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners...”

Romans 5:8 — “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

What Did Jesus Do?

  • He preached the kingdom of God.
  • He healed the sick and showed compassion to the broken.
  • He confronted hypocrisy and called people to repentance.
  • He fulfilled the Law and the Prophets.
  • He died on the cross for our sins.
  • He rose bodily from the grave.
  • He now calls all people everywhere to trust in Him.

Why Jesus Matters Today

Jesus is not just important to history. He is central to life itself. He answers our deepest need: forgiveness, truth, hope, peace with God, and new life.

He does not merely improve people. He saves them. He does not merely inspire. He transforms. He does not merely point the way. He is the way.

John 14:6 — “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Acts 4:12 — “Neither is there salvation in any other...”

Come to Jesus Today

The question is not only, “Who is Jesus?” The question is also, “What will you do with Him?” Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, and King. Turn to Him in repentance and faith.
