Judaism and Biblical Context
Understanding the Jewish roots of Scripture, the world of the Bible, and the Messiah who fulfills God’s promises.
Seeing the Bible in Its Own World
Christianity did not appear in a vacuum. Jesus was Jewish. The apostles were Jewish. The Scriptures they preached from were the Hebrew Scriptures. To understand the Gospel deeply, we need to read the Bible with careful attention to its historical, covenantal, cultural, and Jewish context.
This page gathers teaching and articles that explore Israel, the Messiah, Sabbath, antisemitism, and the biblical background that helps us better understand both the Old and New Testaments.

Why This Matters
When we understand the Jewish and biblical context of Scripture, familiar passages often become richer, clearer, and more powerful. The point is not novelty for novelty’s sake. The goal is to better understand the Word of God, honor the story of Israel, reject antisemitism, and see more clearly how Jesus fulfills the promises of God.
